Day 29

I’m running a bit behind due to a flurry of activity on the cleaning & cooking fronts for our luncheon today. We went shopping and spent *copious* amounts of money so I think the shopping challenge is officially over. I’ll do an official wrap-up entry when I get the chance.

Brekky – Omelette with baked beans on the side for me. Baked beans on turkish bread for Master.

Lunch –  Baked salmon head, salmon with potatoes & miso, lotus root & carrot kinpira (stirfried with 1 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsb cooking sake, 2 tbs soy sauce, 1 tsb mirin & a pinch of chilli flakes then served with sesame seeds on top), rice & miso soup. Yum!

Below is Master’s ‘goodies plate’ as he is a bit of a heathen and likes everything to be put onto one plate – whereas I like to have everything in their own little bowls. I put some flavoured sprinkles (furikake) on the rice which also happened to be salmon flavoured so it was salmon all round.

Above is the salmon head baking in the oven. I just sprinkled it lightly with salt and baked it for about 30mins.

Dinner – Hot dogs for Master. Yoghurt & muesli for me.
